ballou_with-signs_photosym_donationsThe Fairmount Greenway is a 9-mile walking and biking route from Dorchester to Hyde Park that closely follows the MBTA Fairmount/Indigo Line. The Fairmount Greenway follows mainly low-traffic residential streets — similar to what is called a neighborway. The neighborway will safely connect residents, commuters, shoppers, and visitors to new open spaces, including parks, community gardens, schools, as well as neighborhood business districts and historic sites.

In Phase 1 of the project, the Fairmount Greenway Task Force and the City of Boston will install new signs and pavement markings this spring to identify the route.

We have funding to purchase 15 large signs to mark 1.5 miles of the neighborway in Dorchester and Mattapan.

We need your help to buy 30 more large signs and 100 small signs to complete 4 more miles in 2015!
