Southwest Boston CDC hired Alex Nadel as a Community Organizer. Alex will undertake anti-displacement tenant organizing and will initiate a community planning process with residents in Hyde Park and Roslindale to identify priority concerns. For over a decade, Alex has worked with underserved and underrepresented communities– beginning as an Americorps volunteer in public housing. With New York Communities for Change, he also organized tenants in Brooklyn and has fought the displacement of low-income families. He has also organized kitchen workers in Manhattan and worked on campaigns to unionize low -wage workers. Alex holds Alex a Master’s Degree in Urban Affairs from Hunter College in New York. He is excited to help build a well-organized team of residents in Hyde Park and Roslindale, capable of realizing their own hopes and visions.
