Doyle Playground Funding campaign – halfway there!
Southwest Boston CDC and POHWER (People of Hyde Park Wanting Equal Representation) have already raised $3,525–over half of the $6,000 they need for a match from Patronicity, a special crowd sourcing site. The funding is to help move forward the Doyle Playground Transformation. The matching funds will come from the Mass Development Commonwealth Places program. To make your donation, click HERE.
The park will allow for cultural performances, neighborhood association meetings, cookouts, basic yoga classes, teen gatherings, playtime for youth, or just sitting and enjoying a view of the Neponset River. Donations can also be mailed to Southwest Boston CDC, 11 Fairmount Avenue, #101, Hyde Park, MA 02136 (write Doyle on memo line)
Special thanks go to the Solomon Foundation for supporting professional landscape design services from Offshoots and Horsley Witten for this work.
